Anatomic Study - Skull - 1:2 1:3 1:4 3D Print

I order two other scales: 1:3 and 1:4. I put two dies (2d6) to help judging the scale. I'm also done with printing skull. I plan to mold them next. I try to sand the 1:2 but I think I will create a mold from that current print, cast it in wax. It will be much easier the sand it and adding additionnal details and it will be a great mold base for all kind of skull.
I will mold the 1:4 first.

Anatomic Study - Skull - 1:2 3D Print

Hey guys, I print my skull. Turn out very well. As a first try with his 3d printer my friend did a pretty good job. I plan to order few skull of various size (1:3-1:4) to be able to have a variety of skulls.

Now time to sand it and mold it to cast a variety of material.

I did it at first to get a good base for my 1:2 sculpted busts. I don't see a lot of character busts of that size around. So maybe I can be unique in a geek convention and sell few? who knows

Anatomic Study - Skull - WIP 003

I start the detail the skull. Trying to break the symmetry as well trying to keep it the some reusable as possible to be a generic skull for other projects. I think I will 3d print the skull in various size to use as a base for my tradionnal head modelling

Or use in it as a foam skull like the pressure ball that ergonomist offer.

Anatomic Study - Skull - WIP 001

It has been 7 years since I start study 3D. 3 years of school and 4 years in the arena. Not always as modeler, but I learn a lot and still am.

Proof of concept, I start to redo some basic stuffs. If you know me you know I like to display work-in-progress at a start level.

I plan to do a anatomic study from bones to skin. Starting with a simple skull (I actually never did one)

Harry Potter : The Lord of Hallows

Hi all, since I prepare to move on 1th of july (yah Only place in the world that everybody move the same day) in my new appartment. All my sculpt and tools are already in a box (thanks girlfriend ahah). So I decide to come back to digital with, guess what, a new project: Harry Potter: The Lord of Hallows.

Many fan fictions from the Harry Potter universe take the approach of a dark Harry Potter who choose Slytherin House instead of Gryffindor.

I try that approach. Dark Harry from Slytherin House at an adult age becoming a rebel aurore hunting dark magic users without reporting to the Minister of Magic.

Also, he is the Lord of Hallows, still using the Cloak of Invisibility and Elder wand and the Resurrection Stone.

Sculpting mode!

Well it's been a long time since I post something here and a lot of thing pass between that. Manly the Comic-con Montreal give me some ideas of sculpting and I buy some casteline to start sculpting figures like the pro. I also receive my two tips for my Kerrlab ultra-waxer.

First thing first, Comic-con! very cool this year, some friends did beautiful cosplay and other expose drawing art and I tought that, for next year, I should try to expose my stuffs and rent a panel. $275+tx for a 6"x6" seam ok with me. In the artist area, it's generally just drawing for sell. So I thought with my future sculpts, I could be a different kind of exhibitor.

I did think of sculpting more Comic-con based subjects, like Wolverine bust or Terminator 1:6 scale figure but if I want to make something for reproduction and for sale, I need the license of the movies/anime. So I decide I will start doing Fanatsy/sci-fi stuff like Dragons, Knights, Post-apocalypse hunter etc. Sculpting in Casteline for the character and Cx5 for the weapons.

Also, I plan to do all that in a specific scale the 1:9 scale. So the figure will be 8 inch tall for a 6 feet human height. Big enough to have details, small enough to fit on a shelf in a Display case. And I thought, why not do diorama setup for them. So If I do a knight standing next to his horse with his hands on him, why not do dragon in a similar pose so the horse can be swap with the horse. The customers can buy Knight and Dragon instead of the knight and horse.

For my Dad tribute, I stop it because there is no deadline for it, so I can come back when I would like to.
