I added Eyebrow to the guy. Help a lot to give him more humonoid look. I also refine the headshape and add the two tumours: Larry & Berry.

Nux and his Nux car

Hello guys,

First project of the year and I forgot to post it:

I did post the ref before I launch my renders so maybe the details in REFS002 are not visible in the wip003

I start the refinements on the face but also add the torso. The basemesh I use is now fully scaled to the 6'2" height of the actor (I had to readjust all my cameras eheh). The body is just a blocking onthe proportion. Dont judge the detail or the size of the hands lol

I also think sharing my topology would be good at this point. Notice, I have the dense head polycount, I use to block with that amount of polygons but the original mesh I use have 4x less polygons. It's just I decide that because I would probably retopo the head any way, at least, I'm better with a semi-dense mesh to work the main shapes/details. And 54342 polygons for the head only is not what I call a dense head (even Game characters as around the same number)

Index of Refraction

I tought I could start to post some references for anyone who want to shade properly. I'm still learning, but some techniques are the same.

It's very useful the have the refraction index with you. For those who don't know what is a refraction value, let me explain to you

T-Rex 1:14 scale: Wip 001


I mess up my length on that armature. The stand was to far in the body, the head would fall with the weight. So I decide to cut it (the head). Any way it's better that way to sculpt details on the head itself. I cut the jaw off the armature so I would be able the sculpt under it more easily. I based myself on my references of course, but I aim for a Jurassic Park look.

T-Rex 1:14 scale

àGuess what after seeing Jurassic World and some Nostalgic Critic about the Mother F*cking TRex I felt in love with my old love: The Mother F*cking T-Rex!

Tradionnal sculpting in 1/14 scale (about 30 inches long). Decide that scale so I can do relative vehicules or humans in the same scale without doing to big vehicule or to same head. 6 feet human would be 5.14 inches tall.

I also start the bake some cutsom tool for the T-Rex skin in Fimo clay. You can see the tool in black next to my waxer.

Harry Potter : Lord of the Hallows - WIP 003

Small update. Start the sketch the scar, It's super ruff so I will refine it. Also add some expression in his face (all layouts in ZBrush). I will try to find some reference of Radcliffe with a similar smile, maybe in his movie Horn. If not I think I could find the ref in Harry Potter when he blend with Voldermore.

Adding a Depth of Field effect to focus on him.

Next step will be to add some clothing. I want to integrate his cloat in the design

Harry Potter : Lord of the Hallows - WIP 002

  I restart working a bit on him, that guy: Harry Potter. In that version nothing really change. I just add a simple rig for the head so I can bend down and make it look up to feel more dark. I need to start some hair work and add the scar next. Stay tune

Harry Potter : The Lord of Hallows

Hi all, since I prepare to move on 1th of july (yah Only place in the world that everybody move the same day) in my new appartment. All my sculpt and tools are already in a box (thanks girlfriend ahah). So I decide to come back to digital with, guess what, a new project: Harry Potter: The Lord of Hallows.

Many fan fictions from the Harry Potter universe take the approach of a dark Harry Potter who choose Slytherin House instead of Gryffindor.

I try that approach. Dark Harry from Slytherin House at an adult age becoming a rebel aurore hunting dark magic users without reporting to the Minister of Magic.

Also, he is the Lord of Hallows, still using the Cloak of Invisibility and Elder wand and the Resurrection Stone.
